The Ranch Experience
The ranch carries a rich family legacy rooted in South Texas history. Lauro Lopez Sr. (“Don Lauro”) was the first Lopez to run the land and played an important role in pioneering buffelgrass in the area. The family also began their cattle operation using Santa Gertrudis cattle from the King Ranch.
Beyond the hunting, guests can enjoy wildlife viewing, sunset watching, ranch photography, cattle and ranch experiences, and quiet evenings at our private lodge in South Texas.
